I've known some kids on the spectrum before Chris Chan and the ones that had really shitty parents that didn't give a damn always had more social awareness issues than those who knew exactly what being on the autism spectrum entails.

Chris Chan gets razzed because he has goofy hobbies and because his parents didn't put in the effort necessary to raise somebody who has autism.

In fact a lot of people get afte Chris because they knew exactly what would happen if he didn't shape up. He'd end up in some kind of extended care home when his parents died, and that's not exactly club med.

I come from a province in Canada where people like this are commonplace, especially in the industrial sector in which I work.

I'm a welder, I've worked everywhere from small fabrication shops to large scale refineries. Prior to that I worked for what was at the time the third largest oilfield service contractor in the world.

I've seen a fairly broad spectrum of what commonly find in both the oilfield and industrial sectors of this province.

This guy, is disturbingly close to the common denominator.

I hate to say it, but its not as common as I'd prefer to meet reasonably intelligent, well adjusted people in my industry.

There are some, and they make my job a lot easier to do when I work with them, however this kind of explosive irrationality and prejudice is VERY common.

Disputes can often result in fights and vandalism to the vehicles of other workers, even over something as simple as taking a parking spot of somebody, accidentally cutting in front of somebody, or parking too close to another's vehicle. I've seen it countless times.

There are often threats of following people to their homes, etc.

Okay, so where am I going with this?

I was working out at a Shell Upgrader expansion job and while I was there a female welder, I believe who was in her late 40s or early 50s was murdered.

The RCMP suspected that it had to do with a minor confrontation that escalated out of control.

The result?

The woman first reported to the police that her home had been ransacked while she was out, she started receiving threatening phonecalls.

A period of time followed and she was beaten to an unrecognizable pulp and killed, her house was again ransacked and even her little dog was brutally killed.

Just look at that man's behavior.

I don't see human being, I see blind predatory aggression.

For some reason this province, especially the northern part is FULL of these kinds of people, and because of it the murder rate in one of the cities has eclipsed Canada's biggest cities with up to four times the population.

I know those kind of people when I see them.
