I totally respect these people's beliefs, and don't consider them in any way deluded. Because I am a good person who thinks it's important to have faith. As long as a lot of people believe it and act out its rituals it's something admirable, and definitely not a nightmarish psychosis indistinguishable from those suffering in mental wards.

As long as they upload the whole thing to the internet.

You are my new favorite person. I was a minister for 7 years in pentecostal church and now a very proud agnostic. I've seen people do this at least 1000 times and 99% of those people were real, and doing the happy dance. Every religion has their own ritual and every one of them are awesome in their own way. But that video is how it should be in the pentecostal faith. thats legit.

So, uh, Post; what method did you use to induce the state seen here? Describe what leads up to this.

I also approve of this video.

I really had nothing to do with it. Depended on what the individual wanted and how free they were willing to be. The beginning of it was a random event. A lot of their life issues, if they wanted to be free of something, if they were thankful for something, etc.. Depended on the person at that time.

I was a music minister. We knew about 150 songs from memory to fit the needs of the congregation at that moment. If they were feeling rowdy, we'd play rowdy and so on. What that guy is going through is a pretty complex set of emotional stages, one leading into another. As a minister learned that I could read those emotional states and help them progress to the next one pretty easily.

Its easier in smaller churches for this to occur. People build a network of trust much stronger than the mega churches. Partially the reason I left.

If you think that's something, head to a jamband festival.

Culture shock.

Needs more baptasia, although the hilarious old man noises will do in a pinch.

Burnov - 2011-08-23

He kind of sounds as I would imagine Nick Bravo will when he's an old geezer.

Pompoulus - 2011-08-23

Nobody can be uninhibited, insane, straightlaced, and boring all at the same time like a Pentecostal.

Ashenblade - 2011-08-23

Dupe, but who gives a shit?
