I don't want to think about what might happen if someone were to take his stapler.

I already have a low opinion on people that go to starbucks, this video is not helping.

The fact that he sounds constantly like he is on the verge of tears tells you everything you need to know about this guy and his mission in life. Being treated like something approximately like a human being by people to whom he is indirectly paying money is the locus of his last shred of perceived dignity.

It is telling that for Jeff, this isn't about some larger critique of capitalism, some David Foster Wallace-esque commentary on the ugliness of "service culture." It seems to be literally about telling a high schooler or some other desperate worker to do something, and then seeing them do it, all while pretending to care what he thinks.

If he had any respect for human dignity, he would tolerate the disaffected blasé of these Starbucks employees out of the natural camaraderie engendered by the horribleness of their stilted, modern lives. Instead, he harasses them and then records lengthy videos which no human could stand to watch. Ahh, modernity!

This man is discriminating against folks like me who go to Starbucks just for the opportunity to rock out under the speakers.
