I like that the into music hearkens back to the point when Europe had cultures worth preserving.

Oh I understand, they are actual People from a Village! I can't wait to see the movie. I see that Colin Farrell is already there.

Proof that Americans can at least entertain a lot better than the rest of the world.

This year's Eurovision was a mixed bag. There was nothing as good as Lordi, nothing as bad as Vampires Are Alive, but at least they toned back a bit on the Eurotrash and Balkan turbofolk. I genuinely enjoyed Belgium's beatbox acapella group, and Italy's entry was amazing. As for the shit that was so bad it was (good? entertaining?), Portugal takes the cake. Oh, and Ireland. God, I hate Jedward, and what's worse is they're exactly the sort of band that can, and will, turn into international superstars.

EvilHomer - 2011-07-10 Yeah, France was classy, and I could see Katie Wolf turning into an Eastern European Kylie Minogue or something. Norway was just plain baffling; Afro-Caribbean? Really? It wasn't a bad song, but... really? From NORWAY?
I've been debating putting some more stuff from this year's Eurovision through the hopper, but it's hard to find a PoE-worthy clip after Dustin the Turkey.
