Spastic Avenger - 2011-06-01
They broke the character. The whole point of The Russian is that he never, ever stops talking about totally banal things whilst performing acts of dreadful hyperviolence. I severely disliked this film; not one aspect of it drew on the great, great source material Garth Ennis had put on offer. There are a dozen more things I could say about this film, but I feel sad enough as it is.

Hank Friendly - 2011-06-01 you may have had a salient point in there but all i read was :
blah blah blah blah GARTH ENNIS blah blah blah
the source material you speak of was completely regurgitated from the last 20 years of gritty comic books and films, cobbled together to form the same "your mom will hate this comic book" Ennis shenanigans we have been treated to since preacher. you may be convinced you want a Garth Ennis hollywood, but at the end of the day, we live in what amounts to Rob Liefeld's America and we're all better off for it whether we realize it or not.

Caminante Nocturno - 2011-06-01
My favorite thing about this movie is how the Punisher's grand revenge was basically an excessively cruel prank, and the movie's climax is the Punisher explaining this to a crying John Travolta.

WHO WANTS DESSERT - 2011-06-01
This movie is like Batman Returns or Live and Let Die, in that on its own it's pretty good but it doesn't fit in at all with the franchise it's supposed to be a part of.

Rape Van Winkle - 2011-06-02
Watch Punisher: War Zone instead. Yep, the only one that ever got the character right, was a spoof.
