WHO WANTS DESSERT - 2011-03-01
They recently made some 5-minute shorts to play before movies and they're pretty decent. The problem is that Looney Toons just doesn't lend itself to a half-hour television format.

Well, that certainly captured the manic tone of the originals.

On the one hand, this was reasonably funny.
On the other: Let's say you're an animator. And you've been given the chance to make new Bugs Bunny cartoons -- something practically everyone in your entire field has dreamed of doing since they were old enough to draw. And what you choose to do with this iconic character, is have him stand around and occasionally react to stupid things Daffy says.
You are a bad person.

Daffy's worse than Tyreke Evans, man.

Caminante Nocturno - 2011-03-01
Your pathetic American cartoons grow weaker as anime grows stronger. See now how your precious Bugs Bunny withers and dies before you.

garcet71283 - 2011-03-02 You win this round Caminante. ::shakes fist flying off in dirigible::

5 for somehow sucking after seemingly nailing it with Duck Dodgers.
|
Bort - 2011-03-02 I don't see the problem here, it's a logical progression. Duck Dodgers involved fast-paced adventures with space weirdos, this is about Bugs and Daffy playing basketball with some local guys. Presumably the next iteration will be Sylvester and Tweety helping Granny balance her checkbook.

It's bad enough that they don't seem to understand the characters at all and have essentially reduced them to cardboard cut-outs of the original characters, or that they don't even write it in a comedic style that at least tries to ape that of the original cartoons -- BUT IT'S NOT FUNNY! At all!!
Everything else is just a kick in the shins, but that they can't even make it be funny is a fucking hammer to the head.
