So, a 6 minute long clip to explain what the Colbert Report did, much more entertainingly in a minute 30?
|
Billie_Joe_Buttfuck - 2011-02-21 pretty much, yeah.
disinformation's documentaries are tedious fucking things

Note to self: do not take dietary advice from an obese ogre.

spikestoyiu - 2011-02-21 Computer animated movie characters always have your best interests in mind.

If I may recommend a really book along these lines that isn't quite as Michael Moore-ish, The End of Overeating covers a lot of the same things this documentary does in a somewhat better way.

Look at how shitty the government is.

I have a better idea. How do kids get fatty food? With money. But kids don't have money, their parents do. But their parents are stupid and give their kids the food the kids want. My solution? Take away everyones money so kids won't get fat.
|
kingarthur - 2011-02-21 It's a tad more complicated.
|
sosage - 2011-02-21 The fattiest foods in this country are actually the most affordable in both time and money. 99 cent burgers. 5-6 bucks for a meal of shit that is ready for you in 3 minutes.
|
Mother_Puncher - 2011-02-21 I was being sarcastic but if you seriously want to debate this, you're right. Competition is a pretty big part too. One establishment sees their competition made their food cheaper so they go lower and the food made cheap is never healthy but people won't pass up a deal or simply cant afford to.

So...wait. They called in food industry execs to talk about the problems with obesity in America? THOSE EVIL BASTARDS! They should have completely excluded them, because the only way to work with people on a problem is to kick them out in the hall while you talk about reforming their businesses.
Right?
2 stars because this clip made me want to punch somebody.
|
kingarthur - 2011-02-21 I think it's fair. It's pretty much what big business does to us every time this happens.
|
Caminante Nocturno - 2011-02-21 I think their beef isn't so much with the food industry being there so much as the whole event being nothing but an empty publicity stunt.

Old_Zircon - 2011-02-21
Steven Tyler at 8:44 is worth stars.
|
Old_Zircon - 2011-02-21 Wait, that was meant for the OTHER Killer At Large clip on the front page.
