Hell, that only gave me a partial.

This is hot.

I think this is what that Chris Hedges video from yesterday was talking about.

So... I should open up a modeling agency?

John Holmes Motherfucker - 2010-12-26

It always makes me smile to think about how it used to be. I'm old enough to remember when Iggy Pop was almost universally hated, ignored by the mainstream press and derided by the rock press.

This year, the Stooges went into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame. I read a laudatory article on Iggy in NEWSWEEK not long ago... or was it TIME? Now his music can be heard in ads for Cadillac, Royal Carribean Cruise lines, and whatever the hell this is.

And yet, Iggy himself has hardly changed a bit. He's gotten a little wrinkly, and his hair is longer. The surving stooges are once again playing together. Oh, and so are the surviving New York Dolls! What the FUCK?

Not saying you're wrong but the rock press developed an appreciation of Iggy Pop in a hurry after punk became a thing. I mean, it's not like it took decades.

Well, I listed several things that have changed over they years. The turnaround in the rock press was certainly the first to occur, and also the least surprising. So I'm not sure what you're getting at, but since you're not saying that I'm wrong, and as far as I can tell, you're not wrong either, I guess we're not having an argument.
