I was pretty uncomfortable with the cavalier manner in which the host wafted his hand around. He would have instantly lost a finger or two if he'd strayed just an inch or so closer to the focal point.

Good to see the Death Ray is alive and well. Would have been more satisfying if the the scientist had laughed maniacally and rubbed his hands together more.
