I was reading a book the other day called "The Soviet Image". In a way, it predicted this would happen. With the fall of the CCCP, and with this new "democracy" the people didn't know what the hell to do with themselves. All of a sudden MONEY became an issue like it never had before. I think one of the worst things the US has ever done; force capitalism on Russia, and maintain capitalism at home.

It's comforting to say "Poor dumb Russians didn't know how to live in capitalism," when in fact western institutions are deeply implicated in the demolition of that country.

morva - 2010-11-21 Yeah there is some good stuff by the journeyman but sometimes he only gives you a short preview and then asks for money for the rest. Still good though, I like his one on meth in Australia.
