Did the TV show come before or after this? All I remember from the TV show is Donald Duck throwing popcorn in someone's hair.

The Townleybomb - 2010-07-11

Everything they did after "Mickey Mouse Disco" kind of sucked.

My sister had this. My sister played this pretty much every day.

That also seems like a lot of money for a couple of tapes.

garcet71283 - 2010-07-11

Not tapes, Records!

Simillion - 2010-07-11

Yes, and with good production values too (for the time)

spikestoyiu - 2010-07-12

It says .98 for cassettes! The records were cheaper.

You get 6 free stickers! And your children will learn how to exercise like a retard. You can't put a price on that.

I called the number. It is now for a free gift from the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints.

Figures that the Mormons would have something to do with this.

I wonder how many 8-tracks they sold.

Oh fuck, we had this when my brother and I were little brats. It was our absolute favorite; we played that bastard until it died (and just about drove our poor mother to distraction).

dead_cat - 2010-07-12

I should probably point out that we didn't actually buy our copy. We had a dual casette-player, and made a copy of the one my mother checked out for us from the library.

And then we played that copy until something inside it broke and it wouldn't play anymore.

VoilaIntruder - 2010-07-12

I'm envisioning a woman on the brink of tears with an eyeglass screwdriver slid carefully into a cassette tape, committing audio sabotage with the skill of a surgeon, whispering "Lord, forgive me for what I've done." Just then, the phone rings. The library has been destroyed in a fire, an apparent case of arson. The policeman's questions coming over the tinny speaker are drowned out with sobbing and whimpered curses of "let's do the bugaboo...shake a leg or two.."

There was a whole series of these, and they were among the first promotional items for the Disney Channel, back when it was a pay station.

At this time in my life, ANYTHING with the Mickey Mouse logo on it thrilled me. I was around three or four. I grew into preferring Popeye and the Fleischers a few years later, but for the first five or so, Disney was solid gold.

Rodents of Unusual Size - 2010-07-12

I used to rock out and shake my five year old kiester to this.
