I don't get the fascination of Pachinko.

Better to leave him out than turn him into the black face stereotype that the japanese always turn black people into in their cartoons.

Things I have learned today:
1. In Japan, they call Ray "Raymondo."
2. In Japan, Sigourney Weaver looks a lot different.

Raymond = Ray

That is a really cool pachinko machine.

But... the last 30 seconds made me go "wtf Japan"

fluffy - 2010-05-29

Well it makes more sense than the Half-Life 2 Arcade machines they have there.

I never saw the appeal of this at all. I mean with pinball at least you get to like, move some paddles and stuff. My understanding of this is like, a ball falls around and you watch it. And Raymondo dances in the corner.

To check my facts I HTML'd over to wiki and found out that "..Because gambling for cash is illegal in Japan and Taiwan, balls won cannot be exchanged directly for cash in the parlor. Instead, the balls are exchanged for token prizes, which can then be taken outside and traded in for cash at a business that is nominally separate from the parlor, and may be run by organized crime"
