There's not enough stars in the heavens for this sort of evil. This is a celebratory fuck-you dance that they got away with it.

Cena_mark - 2010-05-18

Evil? Its just a commercial. Its not like they should be put out of business for having an oil spill. They do need to be held responsible for it, but they still need to advertise to survive. Exxon is still around despite the Valdez.

Potrod - 2010-05-18

You're saying BP came out with these commercials 3 years ago as a PRE-EMPTIVE celebratory fuck you dance that they WOULD get away with it 3 years later?

Doomstein - 2010-05-18

I haven't seen an Exxon commercial since I think the 1980's. Call me crazy, but I think massive oil companies like BP don't need to advertise to survive.

Also this commercial isn't new, it's from 2007, so not all that evil. Now if it came out right after the spill and had an oil covered seagull giving a thumbs-up THEN ....

SteamPoweredKleenex - 2010-05-19

Cena, comparing what BP has done to the effects of the Exxon Valdez is like comparing your efforts to promote conservatism here to the broadcasting network established by Rush Limbaugh. Right now, BP's fouling of the Gulf can be seen from orbit.

memedumpster - 2010-05-19

Seen from orbit, not unlike Rush Limbaugh.

Shoebox Joe - 2010-05-27

Sooo, are we including negligence on the drilling site for the evil? If yes, then the linked video of the "gag" reel is just plain awesome for a crew member handing a coat hanger over to a toddler. If not, then the linked video of the "gag" reel is just plain awesome for a crew member handing a coat hanger over to a toddler.

I like to imagine it was the head of BP off-screen in either scenario.

Billie_Joe_Buttfuck - 2010-05-18

y'all is fuckin babies

i like it, it's ballsy and drama laden

voodoo_pork - 2010-05-18

ENTIRE GULF IS BABY.

Billie_Joe_Buttfuck - 2010-05-18

naw man just oil buyers

Camonk - 2010-05-18

The balls on these guys

The Mothership - 2010-05-18

Other oil companies are all like 'Bleaggh!' but BP is all like 'Wheeee!'

Rovin - 2010-05-18

The YouTube page says it's from 2007. Strange definition of new.

Erix - 2010-05-18

Yeah, this is really, REALLY old.

splatterbabble - 2010-05-18

I remember putting this video on air as a commercial for CBS in 2007.

garcet71283 - 2010-05-20

New video will be like those Toyota commercials probably, except unlike Toyota, they did something wrong and weren't just dragged through the mud by union funded flunkies.

Potrod - 2010-05-18

Not sure how these commercials are "ballsy" considering they pre-date the recent oil spill by years.

themilkshark - 2010-05-18

Pretty accurate, we're all oversized spoiled infants rolling around in our cages on wheels, sucking down gasoline similarly to how we suck down McDonald's imitation food.

Slumgullion - 2010-05-18

Not new; not diabolical.

Architeuthis Tux - 2010-05-18

Five for evil, alright.

No, it isn't new. It's probably a great indicator of what we'll get later this year though, or next year if BP survives.

This ad was made shortly after BP was forced to admit it had been negligent in a much, much smaller spill in Alaska, which was itself a cap on 15 people dying in a refinery fire.

I'm guessing next year we'll get an ad like this one with hundreds of smiling babies washing sea turtles.

kennydra - 2010-05-18

I've never seen an oil company commercial that didn't utterly sicken me. They're all evil.

-1 star for it being old though.

Xenocide - 2010-05-18

If we make our logo green, people will think our company is environmentally responsible! Brilliant!

Also, we should portray all other gas stations as dirty smoggy places that sell, of all disgusting things, GAS, whereas we sell....um....gas, but the kind that makes driving babies happy.

SolRo - 2010-05-18

American Marketing 101

James Woods - 2010-05-18

pft, old.

Rodents of Unusual Size - 2010-05-19

They forgot to include the part where the kids starve to death because oil killed their dad's business.

Chalkdust - 2011-12-06

four stars for utilizing an alternate interpretation of "nightmare fuel" tag
