The Mothership - 2010-04-27 Hmmmm. All right, ok. Perhaps 'Pseudo-historian' was pushing it. Description amended. However, his interpretation of the Battle of Hastings was outdated even back then; his reliance on William of Jumieges and William of Poitiers was (and is) highly questionable, and he simplifies too much to remain credible.

Connections Series 1 and the Day the Universe Changed are incredibly important shows. After that things got a little forced with the connections he'd make being a bit of a stretch, but those two shows are incredibly important if you want to get a rough idea of why technology in the west developed the way it did.

5 stars for Burke. I wasn't interested in history until I saw Connections. Plus, he's such a bad motherfucker, he brings a broadsword and a suitcase bomb on a picnic.
