But now they're in like their 30s. At least.
Not even entertainingly bad.

I don't think the term "trying too hard" is strong enough to describe this.
Farewell, cretins!

Turtles belong in the sewers.

"The TMNT franchise" has been gorilla balls ever since it stopped being a comic. Hell even when it was just a comic it was probably dreadful, I was like 8.
Aelric - 2010-03-13 Yeah, guys, as much as we all loved TMNT, let's face it, they always blew. They are nonsense for kids and have held up worse than a lot of other nonsense for kids has for us. It's time to let go.
TheDevilsDictionary - 2010-03-14 Time to let go? I'm not even going to check, but there probably is some segment of the internet population comprising of 30 year old TMNT die-hards who desperately need this advice.
FABIO - 2010-03-14 I'm not sure how they did it, but somehow the show managed to be a more blatant toy commercial than Transformers or GI Joe.
But the movie was the best thing ever when we were 10.
Riskbreaker - 2010-03-14 Turtles in time is still good, the old one that is, not the recent remake.
Hooper_X - 2010-03-14 The best thing about the TMNT franchise is that it was explicitly started as a dumbass joke between two fat goon buddies. WHAT'S THE MOST RIDICULOUS THING YOU CAN THINK OF, BRO? I DUNNO MAN, LIKE A TURTLE THAT'S A NINJA. HAAHHA THAT'S PRETTY GOOD. WE SHOULD DRAW THAT. TURTLE NINJAS. THAT'S FUNNY.
BIlly Mays Here - 2010-03-14 "funny animals" + martial arts + teenagers = every big comic trope of the late 80s/early 90s, and people unironically ate it up.
At least the live-action movies were modestly amusing.
