Let me know how good that raw food is after your teeth fall out.

Old_Zircon - 2010-03-10

For what it's worth, my mother did this for five years and it improved her health immensely.

zatojones - 2010-03-10

it probably had more to do with what she stopped eating versus what she started eating

"Now they may say [scientific evidence to the contrary], but [anecdotal evidence]!"

Wow, I'm convinced!

FYI 90% of the time people who feel better from going on these Raw/Paleo/Whatever diets do so because they had an undiagnosed food allergy and the diet cut out said food.

Old_Zircon - 2010-03-10

All I know is her early-stage osteopenia reversed during the period she was doing it. I don't buy the pseudoscience behind it but it didn't do her any harm.

glendower - 2010-03-10

I'm only giving this three stars because I'm sure there are raw foodists out there who are a lot more insane than this guy and there is probably footage to go along with it.

chumbucket - 2010-03-10

I don't think I want to feel what's going on in my body at all

Doomstein - 2010-03-10

You're cheating yourself by not felling all of your potential pain.

Hey, can somebody tell me what "vital nerve force" is?

People throw the "this is why the terrorists hate us" card around an awful lot these days, and a lot of times it's just someones attempt at being funny. But these Whole/Raw/Organic/Anti-GE food people really fit the bill, IMO. They join activist groups who's active agenda is to get food they don't approve of removed from the food supply. That's all fine and dandy (I guess) in a 1st world nation where even people totally incapable of taking care of themselves can make enough money to eat regularly if they want to.

If this guy really believes that shit, he should go to Africa and tell some little Ethiopian boy with a distended belly that the oatmeal he's recieved from red cross that's barely keeping him alive is actually deadly deadly poison.

rev.dinosaur - 2010-03-10

I work with too many people like this. This hits too close to home.

Riskbreaker - 2010-03-10

Is it too much asking to these people to just go and see a nutritionist?

Bozo - 2010-03-10

I had a roommate like this, 5 stars for reminding me how happy I am that hes gone.

Scrotum H. Vainglorious - 2010-03-10

Awareness +1

Urge to Punch (UtP) baseline on preload image: %37

0:03 - %57% and climbing steadily

0:07 - %87 EXPERIMENT ABORTED IMMINENT MONITOR DAMAGE

Macho Nacho - 2010-03-10

I have family members like this, but they're more hypocritical than about their food preachings.

oogaBooga - 2010-03-10

You might as well just tell me raw foods are full of curative pixie shit.

Spike Jonez - 2010-03-11

I used to work at a hippie grocery store, and had to deal with these pretentious, idiotic assholes. I saw a raw foodist family who came in with their retarded children whose brain development was damaged due to a complete lack of B vitamins. When I saw the preload image, I thought he was in a hospital bed, and one day not too far off, he will be, unless he's cramming vitamins that come from places and processes that his philosophy decries as poison. Fuck these macrobiotic, vegan, raw-foodist fucktards.
