There are 68 private elementary schools in Finland, which seem to be a fairly even assortment of international, Waldorf, religious or just plain vanilla-flavored schools. Less than 3% of children are enrolled in private schools. Homeschooling is also a marginalized phenomenon, with about 300 individual children undergoing it.

I want to punch this guy in the forehead wrinkles.

socialist_hentai - 2010-02-23

I just froze when he used Finland as an example, the Nordic countries are usually thought of as the most socially advanced, liberal, and non-religious countries in Europe. But then again his audience knows less of a shit about the rest of the world than he does.

Samisyosam - 2010-02-23

This is one for the vaults. I want to see what the people looking back on us 50 years from now will think of it.

Macho Nacho - 2010-02-23

I watched all the videos on that guy's account.
They all are the basic "Right-Wing"-Crackpot Theory-Glenn Beck humping- douchbaggery.
I seriously want to punch this guy in the throat.

eatenmyeyes - 2010-02-23

All of them? You're a real trooper.

kwash - 2010-02-23

"One of my personal heroes, Ron Paul"

oh really no shit

Screwtape - 2010-02-23

Ron Paul is a fact-factory.

sosage - 2010-02-23

For the record, sex is more enjoyable than history.

CornOnTheCabre - 2010-02-23

not marking

memedumpster - 2010-02-23

This guy is seriously cramping my love of freedom of speech. I think Fred Phelps pisses me off less.

Pillager - 2010-02-23

This guy's gotta be fake.

fatatty - 2010-02-23

Poe's law makes it hard to tell sometimes, but this guy is an actual columnist for World Net Daily. He is real, and people read his column and say "Hell yeah" while doing so.

Mike Tyson?! - 2010-02-23

Yes, they know everything about sex other than, you know, how to prevent STDs or pregnancy.

augias - 2010-02-23

I actually got on youtube and vented at this guy in his comments. The force of trolling is strong in this one. : (

Candlejackv616 - 2010-02-23

Ditto, I normally don't "feed the trolls" as some would say, but this asshole really pissed me off. I hate how his videos come across like what happens when you take shitty hip animation, Fox news levels of douche baggery, and bullhorn and throw it all together.

ProfessorChaos - 2010-02-23

You gentlemen have violated the Prime Directive.

If that even applies on PoETV.

Candlejackv616 - 2010-02-23

I know, I know * hangs head in shame * =(

wtf japan - 2010-02-23

It definitely does apply to poetv, but it may not apply to this guy in particular. He's just conventionally evil, and his stupidity is evidently popularly reinforced. In the very unlikely event that he deletes everything, poe loses nothing and society is the beneficiary.

voodoo_pork - 2010-02-23

The Prime Directive must be used for the greater good, but not My Sense of Unbridled Rage. That I use just for me.

TeenerTot - 2010-02-23

My eyes...can't...stop...rolling!!!

Hooker - 2010-02-23

I love the implication that the individual teachers themselves are actively taking part in an intentional indoctrination. That's what angers me the most about this.

Crucifried - 2010-02-23

This video leads us to the question:

Can we blame homeschooling or public schools for this?

Crucifried - 2010-02-23

Personally, I lean towards public, right up until he graduated college, possibly even masters. This reeks of the overeducated idiot, people that have had a lot of schooling, but they don't really get any smarter, so they start making these weird leaps and creating facts out of whole cloth. I saw that a lot. People who would take classes, completely miss the point and then mangle thousands of years of other peoples ideas to support their own half formed abortion of an ideology.

The funny thing is that they go to higher learning because they are extremely entitled, then turn around and shit on everyone else. They have the funds and, even though they want to go become an auto mechanic, as one of my classmates once told me, they are still going to college because, hey, why not. Once they've graduated and seen that it did nothing for them, they think it is useless for everyone. Why, I still think the same way I did before high school, and I don't know that much more. I could've gotten all of this at home, god damn it! So fuck public education. Everyone has the money to afford to have a dedicated teacher at home or to send their kid to the best of the best (with a VOUCHER!), and no one has the intellect to actually do anything with the openly available books and supplies and facilities that public schools provide.

That's my thought there.

Crucifried - 2010-02-23

Also I get a kick out of the fact that he's "Illuminati Pictures". Fnord.

oddeye - 2010-02-23

Real or false there are people who think like this. Fuck them and fuck this guy too.

James Woods - 2010-02-23

I fully support this. It would be a good thing for society of christians segregated themselves and took their hands off the school system. They're a major reason the education system blows in the first place, and when their dumb ass parents give them bible studies and "history" lessons all day they'll have no choice but to continue on into fully separate lives in some church circle, or learn to resent their parents and become wonderful artists. Then when we look back many years later, the cause of all the dumb will be more obvious then ever.

fluffy - 2010-02-23

Also don't forget "science"

James Woods - 2010-02-24

Yes, very true. I guess I thought science was implied by "bible studies", but I guess you had to be there. :(

chumbucket - 2010-02-23

his style is so edgy that it just might make sense

charmlessman - 2010-02-23

When you state something for the record, that makes it true.

Right?

phalsebob - 2010-02-23

This guy has all the stylistic markings of conservative propaganda. First, the very title of your segment lets people know you are a truth teller. Second, a catchy jingle. Third, cool graphics. Fourth, factoids. Fifth... hold on a sec, is he wearing a wizard robe?

Syd Midnight - 2010-02-23

So is this like a pep rally that you can watch alone on DVD?

Camonk - 2010-02-23

"The number one problem in America is that people don't love God enough."
"The number two problem is that we don't know enough about science!"

Vaidency - 2010-02-23

It really is funny that he thinks the number one problem facing our country is a lack of religious devotion, and his proposed solution is to remodel our education system based on one of the least religious countries in the world.

Hailey2006 - 2010-02-23

Yeah, in Sweden only 10% of people go to Church, but their standard of living is higher than the US's!

frau_eva - 2010-02-25

Public school teachers aren't doing a good enough job? THEN YOU GO FUCKING DO IT. Really, if everyone else sucks at it but you, isn't it your DUTY?! You go teach a class of children that's basically raising themselves and any punishment you give them is moot because their parents willfully and completely ignore them. You go deal with the decision of whether or not you should wake up the violent girl who always sleeps in your seventh grade class because she has to work the corner at night. Yet she would be smart as the dickens too if she was being taught one-on-one from a parent who loved her; everyone would.

God, this guy makes me want to kill something.

Potrod - 2010-02-28

STOP SHOWING ME THIS DOUCHEBAG.

I know I don't have to click but this guy is plastered all over the top rated videos. I do not understand the logic behind 5-starring videos that inspire hate/rage in basically every person who views it (including those who support him). At any rate it's not even close to entertaining.

Wombles - 2010-09-02

Interesting; simultaneously condemns public introduction (It's not that great - for many reasons) and homeschooling (God > learning)
