but one of many ren and stimpy games

they were all very poor.

Candlejackv616 - 2010-02-20

Wasn't there one game where there was a level inside of a mouth of some sorts?

Knaaks - 2010-02-20

The one on the Game Gear was good. You throw toothbrushes!

KnowFuture - 2010-02-21

The one game I remember for the Genesis featured Muddy Mudskipper prominently. It pretty much could have been a game with any two characters in it.

pastorofmuppets - 2010-02-22

Buckaroo$ was fine if you were a kid and only had a few games. Sloppy controls won't stop you from playing. This game was a decent (if easy) platformer with neat moves. You can switch between Ren or Stimpy at any time and you use the other guy to do moves.

A lot of old games can be beaten in a few minutes on a speed-run, it doesn't mean they're bad. And this is a licensed game... usually they don't go to such lengths to include graphics and sound that are reminiscent of the show. It's short, it's easy, but IMO not shovelware.

NewHeavenSalesman - 2010-02-20

The worst part of this is that this isn't some savestate assisted playthrough, unless someone transferred their rom to VHS. Someone seriously played this fucking game enough times to know every part of it.

Five stars for "shovelware" tag. Truly before its time in the worst way possible (though the idea of the partner abilities would have interesting, if not for the ""coded day before shipment" level design").

Tameriaen - 2010-02-20

No they didn't, back in the day I remember renting this game with some friends; the game was beaten within a half hour. We figured we must have missed something. Given the type of platformer it is, you have way too much life--making it easy and short.

poorwill - 2010-02-20

That is some nice spritework, though.

Stupid Lisa Garbage Face - 2010-02-20

Happy! OW! Mine! OW! Not just the sound effects but what the poor kids went through buying this

twinkieafternoon - 2010-02-20

Did the powerups even do anything besides give you a high score?

cognitivedissonance - 2010-02-20

The sad excuse for an ending animation is what is the saddest of all.

Xenocide - 2010-02-20

The SNES game's ending consists of exactly one static screen where Ren and Stimpy hold up a Log.

boner - 2010-02-20

This looks way less shitty than games like Wayne's World or The Addams Family. At least this has some decent animation & music & a farting cat.

pastorofmuppets - 2010-02-22

My favorite is Batman for NES. Right out of the gate, it's got Batman shooting a gun, and what I'm guessing are flying ninja robots.

twinkieafternoon - 2010-02-22

You forgot the electricity shooting jetpack androids that kill you in the sewer level.

glasseye - 2010-02-20

Flying farting Stimpy.

twinkieafternoon - 2010-02-20

Log! leading in the SEGA letters was pretty sweet though, guys.

Spit Spingola - 2010-02-20

Hey, Doug Tennapel worked on this game.

Plan B - 2010-02-20

Doing the non-shitty sprite animation, I'm guessing.

fluffy - 2010-02-20

People will speedrun anything.

I wonder if Billy West had to actually record new lines for this or if they just sampled from episodes.

pressed peanut sweepings - 2010-02-20

My sister and I never made it past the freezer.

Camonk - 2010-02-20

I love how wholesome this makes the show look.

This was a solid three stars until the horror of the MIDI Happy Happy Joy Joy Song. Bluesky Software, you guys are assholes.

Goethe and ernie - 2010-02-21

I remember playing this game before I'd even see Ren & Stimpy. I borrowed it off a friend and completed it in forty minutes or something. I thought it was OK, but then, I was eight or something.

CornOnTheCabre - 2010-02-21

Ladies and Gentlemen, my childhood.

...Looking back, it explains alot.
