geez L thats kind of a blanket statement isnt it? aretha franklin? ray charles? marvin gaye? hello? I love stevie but he is *ONE* of the best, not the best.

what? Aretha Franklin and Ray Charles had nothing to do with Motown. And Stevie Wonder was the best, in my opinion.

I prefer to just consider the talent that was in Motown. Once we get to the point where we're talking about emerging from Motown I revert to being within it.
