This was a great movie so I feel hesitant about giving it one star, but this scene is really not the best one for this site. I'm not really sure how to rate it.
I offer the above stars as one of six possible solutions to your conundrum.
Not giving five stars to Hot Fuzz is just wrong on every level.
Here, I'll give you an example of one and let you know that no one is going to kick out you of the poeTV club for your opinion on this scene.

This would be a really horrifying scene in a less hilarious movie.
I took a girl to see this movie on our first date. We are getting married in May. :-)
