I watched this in a film class I was in. During this scene, when Scorsese said the n word, the girl behind me said, in all seriousness, "well, I've lost all respect for him". The part about shooting a woman in the face and genitals didn't phase her, strangely.

The final scene is probably my favorite of the movie, where he drops the chick off that thinks he is now this hero (after avoiding him for acting like a weird perve) and he looks up into the mirror to catch us looking at him...and shoves it to the side annoyed...

a perfect opportunity for Scorsese's character to end this with "nahh man I'm just joshin ya! hee hee heeee"
