You know, ever since seeing the German version, I cannot see the intro without thinking "HALLO, DAS EST SUPAR MARIO BRUDER!"

This show was very surreal, we were constantly made to sit through these live action segments that felt like they were some sort of alternate universe version of the Abbott and Costello show where Costello had been replaced by a portly wrestler.

So were Mario and Luigi part of Penny's imagination too?

I would spend the minutes preceding this show staring at my wristwatch and counting down the seconds until it came on. As much as I liked this show, however, it was more of an excuse to stare at my first wristwatch.

The important thing is to ceaselessly loop the theme song.

The first episode where Magic Johnson is in their medicine cabinet is the pinnacle of the series.

I never noticed this before, but the theme song lyrics almost make it seem as if they're trying to turn you onto black men.
