Even in the beginning they always end with him being flexible about something that initially bothered him. You're right though, Hank and Peggy do poke a lot of fun at your average American couple. I just think Hank is way less of a hardass than would be necessary to imitate nature.

If they'd had eight years of having both like The Simpsons it'd be fine. But King of the Hill was a great but inconsistent show that required investment, and so it was lucky to get all the time and appreciation it received.

I went to youtube trying to find a Monsignor Martinez montage to submit, But couldn't find one. There wasn't one,and i now hate youtube. So I hit google. I probably would have found one but stopped looking after finding this shocking bit of information.

There was a spin off. It was never aired. Im not entirely sure if it was actually filmed and scrapped afterwords, the internet disagrees about that. But it definitely got past just being a idea.
