Yeah, pretty much.

Pillager - 2009-09-08

It's sad that they breed like roaches.

Ponasty - 2009-09-08

The intro to IDIOCRACY comes to mind.

Hooper_X - 2009-09-08

What Billie Joe Buttfuck said.

CharlesSmith - 2009-09-08

That is hardly no mercy. That's the nicest way of saying something that is evident to everyone with a functioning brain cell.

KEEP YOUR MESSAGE OF SCHOLASTIC INTEGRITY AND WORK ETHIC AWAY FROM MY KIDS

my child's civic education will consist of the patriotic t shirts i buy them at the truck stop, am radio slogans i drunkenly parrot about the foreigns and the li-bruls and the gay faggots, and whatever bumper stickers they read (if i get around to teaching them to read)

also, god, and the bible

Caminante Nocturno - 2009-09-08

Republicans never appreciate it when someone is concerned about their children.

Syd Midnight - 2009-09-09

Republicans do not want their children to believe anything they themselves don't believe. That's tough to do when your kids go to public school.

dueserpenti - 2009-09-08

Too bad none of them watch MSNBC.

Camonk - 2009-09-08

Fox'll pick it up and get worked up about it.

rawelkij - 2009-09-08

They had a clip on CNN right before the speech of someone in South Carolina mumbling about "commanism".

Desidiosus - 2009-09-08

I think the old saying is, "None of us are as stupid as all of us."

Toenails - 2009-09-08

Just a personal story:

I work in a special education class for an elementary school. Today during our library time, we were able to watch the Presidential address before we had to go get ready for lunch.

Now, it's kind of silly to have mentally handicapped little kids watch Obama's school speech. The reason being that most of them weren't paying attention, or didn't really understand what he was saying. What was even sillier was that one of our parents wrote a note to the teacher exempting him from being indoctrinated by this hard-core Marxist (No, she didn't actually write that in the note).

Worrying about your 5th grade son, who needs help zipping up his fly, watching a speech from Obama on the importance of education really did make me feel sorry for the lad.

themilkshark - 2009-09-08

They don't want their kids to be better than them, it would draw too much attention to their own failures.

ProfessorChaos - 2009-09-08

Frankly, i can think of no better way to get teenagers interested in politics then to tell them they aren't allowed to participate. Every rebellious kid who was told they couldn't see this is now only going to look it up on youtube.

Xenocide - 2009-09-08

Why is it that simple truths are the hardest things to find in modern journalism? John Harwood gets major props for saying what everyone with an IQ in the double digits or higher is thinking.
