I actually remember the episode this was originally from - or rather I caught part of it not long ago on WGN, where TNG reruns take up about 25% of the schedule.
Some cranky old coot scientist found a way to cast off his terminally ill flesh shell and upload his consicousness into Data's body. Of course when he's found out he starts flipping out and busting people up.
Oh god why am I wearing taped up glasses and a pocket protector all of a sudden what is
For some reason I thought this was the "polywater" one (the first non-pilot episode which was a direct remake of a mediocre TOS episode which made everyone think TNG was just going to completely suck) but thanks to you I remember the actual origin, yeah.
Oh, I thought this was the one where Lore turns Data off and steals his uniform and pretends to be him until Wesley figures it out when Lore uses a contraction. And then they throw Lore out an airlock.
I always thought that little elevator was so stupid. Why not just a small short range teleporter? Or, why not orient the damn warp core in such a way that it can be accessed easier?
FUCK YOU FUTURE THAT I PICK APART WITH MY LOGIC.
