StanleyPain - 2009-07-13
So, this is the new financial show on the NASCAR channel?

I almost thought it was a fake when the Commie made TV breaks his USA made bat.

I can sympathize with his feeling angry at the world, but his accent tells me that he doesn't understand most of the concepts he is talking about.

nonplusplus - 2009-07-13 All that from his accent, huh?

His actions tells me he doesn't understand a bit of what he's talking about.
Buying silver off of a credit card is just stupid. The low limit credit card probably has a 20% APR and he also probably paid a markup on the silver if he bought it through a Bullion supplier (they have to make profit somehow). Meaning, the only way he'll make anything is if silver goes up 25% or more - and he won't get much return off of a few percentage points of 0.
Also, people like him (accents aside because it straddles both sides of the Mason-Dixon line) don't realize that if you consume less then the problem isn't so bad. How much did he consume to make that stupid doll or to destroy what was probably a working TV or two working cameras or a working vacuum cleaner that could have gone to someone else instead of being destroyed. He just got a low-limit credit card with a high APR to fill the limit off of something that probably won't even get that much of a return.
The youtube comments are also littered with people who are doing the same thing and creating mountains of debt with the idea that it'll 'screw the system' somehow. Yet they never realize how much extra money it will cost the larger credit bureaus to chase after these idiots, to make up for the lost profits, and will prevent them from saving more money when they need to take out other loans for whatever things they might need.
Overconsumption is something people like this are never willing to admit is a problem. I bet this guy has a house filled with junk, a lot of credit card debt, and probably a huge truck that he doesn't even need. He's a big 'ole boy too - so he's not skimping on meals either.

StanleyPain - 2009-07-13 Precisely. Consumerism = Democracy and Freedom and Crying Eagles and all that shit to these kinds of people. Moving towards breaking the consumer cycle, trying to ebb into green living, or doing anything that's socially and environmentally sound = COMMUNISM AND GAY LESBIAN MUSLIM TERRORISM ZOG WARFARE ALL ROLLED INTO ONE.
That's what it always boils down to with these types.

HarrietTubmanPI - 2009-07-13 I went over to the site he ordered the silver from. He spent 0 on 20 ounces of silver. Silver's current price is .84/oz.
He bought it for .91/oz.
Even more interesting is the current trend in silver prices:

Way to go.

Are we even certain that he's in his own house? What if there's a family bound and gagged just off-camera?
|
KnowFuture - 2009-07-14 And what if that family are Chinese?
|
Gwago - 2011-04-04
Can I get a "Toxic Chinese Gas" tag on this? Pretty please?
