we shouldn't have gone to war. the end.

joelkazoo - 2009-04-26

So basically, John, prosecuting people who commit crimes for committing crimes is wrong?

Pillager - 2009-04-26

It's not a crime when we do it.

splatterbabble - 2009-04-26

But, on the safe side, we're better than a Gap or an Urban Outfitters.

Rodents of Unusual Size - 2009-04-26

Uh...correct me if I'm wrong but aren't banana republics rather notorious for not prosecuting war criminals.

THERE IS A FLAW TO HIS LOGIC AND YET I AM UNSURPRISED

phalsebob - 2009-04-26

I bet you are a communist.

Cena_mark - 2009-04-26

Its about prosecuting the prior regime.

SteamPoweredKleenex - 2009-04-26

It's about prosecuting abuses of power so all the presidents who follow can't pull the same shenanigans. This may come as a shock to Republicans, but if everything Bush did is allowed to slide, it sets a legal precedent. This means that any commander in chief, even the ones you disagree with (or in some cases hate) can do the exact same thing with no fear of legal challenge.

I do wish they'd thought that through before allowing George the Second to run roughshod all over the Constitution.

Witty_Pop_Culture_Reference - 2009-04-26

The main reason I support making sure no administration ever does this again is because I don't want to listen to the hysterical whining and screeching of the right wing any more than I have to.

Imagine what you would have to put up with hearing if the current administration were wiretapping illegally, sending spy/agents to gather intel on conservative meetings, covering up documents showing even the slightest circumvention of procedure by administration, outing CIA agents, invading third world countries under completely false pretenses that only a moron could think had serious justification?

I just want FOX news to go away, but every year, the right becomes more malevolent, more manipulative of the most ignorant of the populace, and more mindlessly aggressive against anything that doesn't completely agree with it.

Louis Armstrong - 2009-04-26

Imagine!?. Shit, I know we have beaten this to a dead horse, but their response to the presidential B.J., the butthurt crying about stimulous packages and how you can't spend money to make money(you can, just buy assets that produce income like roads and schools as opposed to many bombs).

More aggresive and manipulative? Maybe in the sense of the pil o shit gets bigger sense, yes, but as far as with a more malevolent fever I don't buy. Until they start summoning and interviewing Lord Chuthlu, I don't think they could go anylower then where they have been for the past tweenty years.

Meerkat - 2009-04-26

Capitalism would make us no better than communist China!

Binro the Heretic - 2009-04-26

Go to bed, old man!

dorje - 2009-04-26

Camonk - 2009-04-26

Remember when John McCain was against torture?

Maybe he just hadn't had his Ensure that day and his blood sugar was low, so he didn't really know what anyone was talking about.

Frank Rizzo - 2009-04-26

oh grandpa...

zatojones - 2009-04-26

we're not going after lawyers who gave bad advice. we're going after lawyers who gave ILLEGAL advice

StanleyPain - 2009-04-26

Yes, because banana republics are so well known for their adherence to administrative oversight.

IrishWhiskey - 2009-04-26

I totally agree with McCain. As long as I'm honest, I should never be held accountable for my crimes.

Hey cops, guess who has two thumbs and likes to feed stolen neighborhood babies to his pit bulls? This guy! Not like you can do anything now, suckers!

Billie_Joe_Buttfuck - 2009-04-26

I just took a mighty shit.

It felt nice.

Dinanukht - 2009-04-26

So they soldiers who tortured go to jail.
And the lawyers and politicians and CIA professionals get away scott free.
And we do this to avoid the corruption of a banana republic.
WTF America.

Dinanukht - 2009-04-26

the soldiers. damn it.

halon - 2009-04-26

-1 star because Jakarta is in Indonesia, not Sri Lanka

halon - 2009-04-26

oh my god how did that happen. I was commending on an onion clip. I'M SORRY!

IrishWhiskey - 2009-05-10

Don't worry, I routinely downvote videos out of frustration that Ankara is the capital of Turkey.

kwash - 2010-02-17

This would've been a much better comment if there had been no replies at all.

Caminante Nocturno - 2009-04-26

Repeating a talking fed to him by the man whose tactics cost him the election.

mcsancherson - 2009-04-27

perty percroddid dockis tag?

Dinkin Flicka - 2009-04-28

a) Search "perty percroddid dockis" on Google and this video (your comment) is the only thing that comes up.

b) Search it on Wiki and it asks if you meant "party perrodin docks"

c) Click the link they give and it asks if you meant "party peruvian docks"

d) Click the link they give you and they say no article matches the search but that "Óscar R. Benavides" is the closest thing they could come up with.

Fuuuuuck me...
