I don't like Southpark very much, but I saw this episode. It was right on the money.

Disney can't use sex to sell their products unless they hide it. They present the Jonas Brothers as wholesome Chastity ring wearing Jesus lovers while knowing full well they're sex symbols. The foam is just one manifestation of that.

We're talking Disney, the people who are all innocence and love, and these guys are going around talking about abstinence and don't give it up until you get married, you can wait until you're at least 25 to have sex but you have to wait until it's the right time and Prince Charming and the right place and only when it's your wedding night and everything is just right and romantic and magical and special and it'll be something you'll remember forever and ever and ever and it'll be the best thing you've ever done and it'll be even better because you waited all this time, and lots of girls actually BELIEVING THIS because their parents think it's great, but mostly they just go to see these guys that are soooo dreaamy and their dads are like 'oh, well, whatever my little princess wants, sure, you can go to the concert' and then all night long the band flirts with them and tells them they're precious and special and they want to whisk them off to a magical cloud and do things only they will know and they swoon, god do they swoon, the band has got them now... and, as the night's about to end, SPOOOOOGE... and the crowd goes wild...

It both funny and evil, but its hardly anything new. Boy bands have been doing the same thing for decades, and Boyzone and Backstreet Boys weren't much more subtle in their thrusting. The whole "selling sex to young girls in an innocent package" has been going on for as long as there has been a celebrity media. And Disney's always been about sex, including the story of Prince Charming as a metaphor for losing virginity.

Its hypocritical and less than subtle, but not any more shocking than Elvis was during his time.
