Someday, "Final Justice" will be properly respected for giving us one of the early icons of modern feminism: Maria the Maltese lady cop. Nothing she does is predicated on her being "the girl"; she is brave, dedicated, principled, and overall a damn good officer of the law. She even ruins her career in the pursuit of justice, and she doesn't do it because she has fallen for Joe Don Baker's charms, but because it's the only way to do the right thing.
The more enjoyable MST3K films tend to do at least a few things right, and this film gets Maria right. Also, Goosio.
