Am I the only one whose seeing how terrible this looks? Sure, they put some detail on the character design, but the actual locomotion of them looks marginally better than an in-game World of Warcraft animation.
Also, some of the camera angles in this trailer, which is supposed to show off the creme de la creme of the visuals of the film, are just downright terrible.
Granted, it's no "Ratatoing" or even "Party Animals" in terms of the terrible character design, but it's still pretty bad for a high profile national showcase film.
the part where the deer are swimming around reminded me comically of 'zoo race'. other than that and a couple of the fast paced tight shots, the cg is not bad. none of it was great, but not bad enough to be like OH MAN DID YOU SEE HOW BAD IT WAS? i'm disappointed, bad animation is a great source of unintended entertainment.
