On one hand I'm alarmed by the bumfights. On the other hand I'm alarmed they couldn't find a scriptwriter under a century old. I nearly choked when I heard "mindless rock and roll violence." I never thought I'd ever hear anyone say that seriously.

But Jesus... I have to admit to being a little bit spooked. The media is leading me into middle age like a balding piper. I want to end capitalism and censor the media to protect the poor children!

Boo hoo; the guys who made Bumfights are no worse than 90% of American teenagers; everybody these day is an asshole - these kids just had the mind to make a buck of it. Good on them.

Not buying it.

Bumfights is no different than COPS, except for the participants of bumfights got rewarded. Do I think it's tragic that they exploited these homeless people? Of course I do, but I don't think it's any more tragic than Celebrity Rehab or The Bachelor or American Idol or the To Catch a Predator series or any of those types of shows.

I find it hillariously ironic that this documentary has taken the position that the creators of Bumfights are immorally exploiting the people in their video, but that the documentary turns out to be sensationalist drivel. This special has been brought to you by Coca Cola.

If that shit didn't scare you before, by all means don't worry your pretty little head about it now.
