When Lemmy was a kid, in like 1955, some bloke brought a guitar to school and banged out a few chords and was surrounded by girls. Ever the student, Lemmy found a guitar and brought it to school the next day and banged out a few chords and was surrounded by girls.

His fingertips bled but, going on a hunch, he brought it back the next day and banged out a few chords with bleeding fingers, and the girls went nuts. And that day Lemmy decided "This is what I would like to do for a living!"
