Production values through the roof, but they can't write or act worth a damn. Oh well.

Camonk - 2009-02-13

It's pretty petty to complain about the writing in a film that claims to have no script. That's like saying the fistfights in My Dinner With Andre are awful.

LeChuck - 2009-02-13

So I can't criticize a builder for constructing a shitty house because he chose to forgo blueprints? With a little scripting and some better acting this project would've been big screen worthy. Four stars is fair.

Dib - 2009-02-14

Try to look at this in relative terms. This is PoE, how many fan creations do we regularly see here on Care Bears, Sonic, etc. that are truly horrible?

When I saw this in the hopper, I was expecting one of those. The fact that I ended up actually wanting to see more certainly warrants five stars. The fact that this is created by fans and isn't a broken english fanfic about John Freeman warrants five stars.

Udderdude - 2009-02-13

Surprisingly good.

IrishWhiskey - 2009-02-13

Wow. Those are some outstanding visual effects and editing. Its not better than some major motion pictures, its better than most major motion pictures. Sure the acting can't keep up, but that's like complaining about the [insert analogy here].

chumbucket - 2009-02-13

good to see that somebody with skills has money

fatatty - 2009-02-13

Honestly you don't even need that much money to produce this these days. Lets see, ,000 for a decent camera, ,000 for 3dMax (though stolen easily enough), ,000 for Adobe Premiere and After Effects (also easily stolen), and most likely pro bono actors. ,000-,000 and you can do the same quality special effects as Hollywood with enough time and talent (and torrents).

5 stars for the little guy one upping the big guy.

Wonko the Sane - 2009-02-13

impressive

Aoi - 2009-02-13

Better than any major motion picture would be.

Yeah, I'll say it.

fluffy - 2009-09-25

In retrospect I see many similarities between this and District 9.

Stog - 2009-02-13

Best video game movie.

Keefu - 2009-02-13

Acting is a bit meh, but HOLY GOD that is pretty as fuck. Keep it up.

delicatessen - 2009-02-13

This was reportedly made for five hundred bucks.

Michael Houser - 2009-02-14

Then they stole the camera as well.

Samisyosam - 2009-02-13

5 stars for the effort, but if I was going to be petty I would have taken 2 away for "I hate walking ok? URH!"

I bet you Uwe Boll is in talks right now with Universal pictures to buy this production and redo everything 100 times more shitty.

Aoi - 2009-02-13

The Resistance is full of idiots.

If he was with Gordon Freeman, he'd be telling him to reload every 5 seconds, instead.

Comatose2 - 2009-02-13

Most important thing is they got a pretty blonde girl. I like girls in movies - it gives me hope because boobies.

BHWW - 2009-02-13

I voted for this in the hopper because it looked neat. Viewing it again, I stand by my decision.

UnderANeonHalo - 2009-02-14

Give these people a budget and some actors.

Gojira1000 - 2009-02-14

Neat ... but what if they'd put that much effort into an original idea?

MerryMisanthrope - 2009-03-18

Yeah, that was my only quibble, aside from the acting. Also the headcrabs are kind of goofy. But the rest of the awesomeness made up for it.

Jeff Fries - 2009-02-14

Pretty amazing stuff, masks look terrible

Operation Cornflakes - 2009-02-14

Makes me want to play some HL2

Caminante Nocturno - 2009-02-14

I hope to see more of this.

glasseye - 2009-02-14

Wow, a fan video that doesn't suck balls.

fluffy - 2009-02-16

-1 for shakycam. Shakycam makes me motion-sick.

FABIO - 2009-05-21

They have to fight the Combine AND Sauron? Man they're fucked.
