They're altricial birds with large curved beaks and distinctive vocalizations who are being raised in captivity, so odds are they're parrots. My first guess would be lorikeets, but I'm not sure that's what lorikeet chicks sound like.

Huh. Who knew parrots could hiss?

Because if I did, I would have probably owned one or two... or a thousand.

A lot of parrot chicks hiss instinctively when frightened.

And here I was totally convinced that these things were baby eagles or vultures or some other species being raised in a zoo nursery.

God damn... never thought I'd learn anything interesting on POE.

Raptors don't vocalize like that, and there are rules for interacting with them - I don't think you can legally rear them in a dog bowl set on the floor or counter. Also, zoos usually have proper incubators, so the dog bowl is a big hint that they're probably being raised at home and are most likely some common pet.

I expect the person raising these birds took them out of the cage/away from the parents for feeding or filming. Unless you live in a very secure hothouse, baby birdies raised on a tabletop aren't going to survive.

Definitely baby cockatiels.

AWWWWwww.

I think they're adorable.

And when covered with bread crumbs, delicious.
