While others may have had more options, I thought WORMS 2 was the most fun, playable, goofy fun, oh and fun of these type of games.

Actually the original "tank" game was Tank Wars which was released a year before Scorched Earth. That was the one I always played, mostly because I never had Scorched Earth. I assume everyone gives it to Scorched Earth because it had a sweeter name.

I think Scorched Earth had a wider array of weapons than Tank Wars, too.

damn I was hoping that I could be the one to point out that tank wars was the original of these types of games (ala XTG), gorillas and all came after.

Hey if they can give me a reason to love the hovertank even more I'll take it. There was always a simultaneous groan or "godammit" from my friends whenever I started hovering.

Sort of except it's all real time so there is no taking turns, just waiting for your current weapon to reload.

If the game ever comes out. From what I've read, the game was finished almost a year ago, but is one of those XBLA titles stuck in "MS Approval" hell.
