my cousin told me once that the show would turn my brain to mush. That just made me want to watch it more.

I have this whole thesis about Beavis and Butthead being the dumbest smart show of the nineties. I'll tell it to you one time of you want to come over to my place for drinks and maybe hang out in the basement while I play my records and sharpen all my knives.

Beavis and Butthead was one of the smartest TV shows ever until sometime around the middle of season 5 when it stopped being a show ABOUT Beavis and Butthead and started being a show FOR Beavis and Butthead. Which is probably why most people I know who are my age and got into it at the beginning love it but most people I know who are 3 or 4 years younger than me either think it's a show for idiots or are idiots.

I saw an interview with Mike Judge a little while back when they were announcing the new Beavis and Butthead and he pretty much feels like the first three seasons weren't very good. That's why I still haven't bothered to watch any of the new Beavis and Butthead.

All forms of technical metal are pretty much the metal equivalent of Kenny G, though. Give me Earth and Electric Wizard and St. Vitus and the Flower Travellin Band - this stuff stopped sounding cool around the time I grew some pubes.
