I don't agree. In fact the whole "riot at Newport" etc was totally overblown by the press. Some guy yelled out Judas in England but who the fuck could stand against the Band and Like a Rolling Stone? And "I don't believe you. You're a LIAR" is the best put-down of a heckler ever.

This is one of his best songs. A great version is on Before the Flood (1974) - the line about the president drives the crowd crazy.
