It is awesome.
Okay, my Netflix membership is getting reactivated.
And yet here it is, 2009, and we can't make a decent movie with 15 million dollars and all the technology in the world.
Silent Hill and Shoujo Kakumei Utena just had a kid. Blood and Roses is a pretty loose adaptation of the old vampire novel Carmilla, which means that this movie not only has awesome art direction, it has lesbian vampiresses.
That's an impressive ratio of FX budget / trippiness.
