I love this film. Says so much about attitudes in wartime. Also found it very emotional. Interesting to see how the Brits were trying to get our support pre-Pear Harbor.
They ended up getting a lot (lend-lease), as dd the Soviets (Murmansk). This country shot a huge wad of guns oil and steel greater than any other in the century.
I still feel like crap we took so long, also they only finished paying off their lenad/lease war debt to us a few years ago. Shit, like we couldn't have just gone "Ehh you're good for it, we know you got our backs too"?
'Sides, the RAF and Russia had the thing pretty well wrapped up by the time we hopped into the ring.
