God I hate Alabama. A little background: Tuscaloosa just got a new Mercedes plant. The poor imported workers, shocked by an environment that could easily be mistaken for a hotter, more depressing version of the GDR, undoubtedly seek the numbing comfort of a beer that is merely palatable. Reps. Grady Wilson and Bubba Bexley, however, will be having none of that. Dirty Krauts can drink Ripple like the rest of us.
Not imported beer per se: you can't buy beer with over 6% alcohol by volume. Many microbreweries, including some in bama, would like to sell their specialty beers there but are unable to due to this restriction.
