Godard's Drinking Problem - 2008-10-10

Posthumous 5 stars. Still kind of disappointed I didn't see this more than once.

Merzbau - 2008-10-10

You do know they're rereleasing it to theaters in December/January, right? You'll have your chance.

ProfessorChaos - 2008-10-10

I can't stop watching this.

DMKA - 2008-10-10

I don't even care for Batman stuff and I loved the hell out of this movie.

Cena_mark - 2008-10-10

I loved this film and I'm not even a nerd.

Caminante Nocturno - 2008-10-10

I love this film and I don't even believe in magic.

HURF BLURF DUH - 2008-10-10

I loved this film and I hate pencils.

IrishWhiskey - 2008-10-10

I love this film, and I hate this film!

Keefu - 2008-10-10

This loses a bit when it's not in a theater. Specifically because the reaction to him smashing the dude down on the pencil is so silent now, without any of the nervous, hushed laughter from audience members around you.

Oh well, five stars.

charmlessman - 2008-10-10

I love this movie and I sold Heath Ledger pills.

Too soon?

HankFinch - 2008-10-10

too late

YakooMarkTwo - 2008-10-10

Everybody who saw this movie before me told me, in some way, about this scene. One friend called it "the most memorable movie scene in the last 10 years". Nerds, the lot of us.

sliggy - 2008-10-10

In a packed theater, I was the only one who laughed at this.

paranex - 2008-10-10

Good scene, but the one that made me scream "yeeaaaaaahhhhh!!!!!!" in a crowded theater was when the cell phone is glowing through his henchman's skin... You know you're a bad motherfucker when you can convince a mental patient to let you surgically implant a bomb in them.

RandomFerret - 2008-10-10

This clip is terrible quality, and the editing is retarded. It's STILL worth five stars.

fluffy - 2008-10-10

This is the best scene in the whole movie. There is no point in seeing the rest of the movie after this scene.

The Great Hippo - 2008-10-10

Hey, weren't there some people here saying how this movie was going to be a let down? I want to hear from those mother-fuckers. I want to see some fucking CONTRITION here, you smegma-licking ball-sweat garglers!

Although to be fair, I'll admit--who the fuck saw this coming from Heath "10 Things I Hate About You" Ledger?

kennydra - 2008-10-10

I had severely underestimated Ledger's abilities as an actor, and I'm really sincerely sad that he is gone.

This movie is so great and this scene made me LOL.

rroach - 2008-10-10

Heath Ledger was the single best thing about this retarded movie.

Camonk - 2009-09-07

Those of us who watched Roar, and to a lesser extent Brokeback Mountain, knew what to expect.

vissarion - 2008-10-10

This was the point in the film when I realized that DK Joker is pretty much Master Shake with a knife.

"Hey Meatwad, watch me make this pencil disappear!"

GiantAtomicFreak - 2008-10-10

There were probably better films overall this year but this was the best scene.

Jeff Fries - 2008-10-10

;(

glenn - 2008-10-10

The Russian gangster thought it was a pretty good magic trick.

Wombles - 2009-10-24

seriously whered it go

Syd Midnight - 2008-10-10

I need to see this film. I resisted going because I liked Nicholson's Joker, and am afraid that Ledger's is better.

Anyways, that's a good trick.

commandocucumber - 2008-10-25

ledger's is different, not better. tehey are two completely different types of movies.

IrishWhiskey - 2009-04-04

Ledger's is better.

I mean yes, they are very different movies in tone, so it is like comparing apples and oranges. It also doesn't change the fact that one of those apples is seriously fucking awesome.

Camonk - 2009-09-07

Ledger's is better because, in retrospect, Nicholson's was bad. I mean yeah, when you're 8 and the only other Joker you've seen is from the original Batman TV show, and you're too young to get the satire of that, seeing Nicholson's joker was a revelation.

j lzrd / swift idiot - 2008-10-25

Damn me, I really ought to see this movie.

Lies, lies, LIES! - 2009-09-22

This was the first scene in a film that actually shocked me since I saw "Man Bites Dog." What a grim, repellant, beautifully made movie this was.
