Magic Trick - The Dark Knight

This loses a bit when it's not in a theater. Specifically because the reaction to him smashing the dude down on the pencil is so silent now, without any of the nervous, hushed laughter from audience members around you.

Good scene, but the one that made me scream "yeeaaaaaahhhhh!!!!!!" in a crowded theater was when the cell phone is glowing through his henchman's skin... You know you're a bad motherfucker when you can convince a mental patient to let you surgically implant a bomb in them.

I need to see this film. I resisted going because I liked Nicholson's Joker, and am afraid that Ledger's is better.

I mean yes, they are very different movies in tone, so it is like comparing apples and oranges. It also doesn't change the fact that one of those apples is seriously fucking awesome.

Ledger's is better because, in retrospect, Nicholson's was bad. I mean yeah, when you're 8 and the only other Joker you've seen is from the original Batman TV show, and you're too young to get the satire of that, seeing Nicholson's joker was a revelation.
