5 for "can you think of any?"

which is basically code for "is the hamster still on the wheel?"

Desidiosus - 2008-10-01

She doesn't answer any questions at all, does she? I mean, politicians in general are evasive about touchy subjects, but she doesn't answer anything whatsoever, even the questions the base wants her to answer.

Desidiosus - 2008-10-01

Oops, I stand corrected. She apparently told Couric she supports the right to privacy, so by extension she supports the basis of Roe v. Wade.

Oops.

IrishWhiskey - 2008-10-01

There was just submitted into the Hopper Palin's full answer, compared side-by-side with Biden's.

I encourage people to vote up that one instead, even if it means this video gets deleted.

Camonk - 2008-10-01

That video is much better. Asked the same question about a supreme court decision he disagrees with, Biden doesn't even have to think about it. Why? Because he's argued before the Supreme Court about a bill he wrote himself.

IrishWhiskey, I'm so glad you're finding all these. They're becoming my dirty pleasure.

Billie_Joe_Buttfuck - 2008-10-01

She's a rambling non-sequitar machine.

j lzrd / swift idiot - 2008-10-02

She's a blithering gibberish engine.

Comeuppance - 2008-10-01

Initial question: "Are there any Supreme Court decisions that you object to?"
Ultimate answer: "As a politician, I am in a position to change things."

Isn't that kinda like answering the question "What's your favorite book?" with "I can read?"

MissLadyArtemis - 2014-03-21

Didn't she say, she is not in a position to change things, but rather support the law of the land? I'd say she was asked about her favourite book, and she responded with Well, I like pictures...

IrishWhiskey - 2008-10-01

By the way, the question directly prior to this went as follows:

Couric asked if Palin agreed with a Constitutional right to privacy.
Palin said she did
Couric pointed out this was the basis for Roe v Wade.
Palin looked blank, and then said she believed in the Constitutional right to privacy, but that it and other rights should be enforced by states.

Just in case this clip left you unsure if she had a brainfreeze, or just doesn't understand the our legal system in the slightest: Its definately the latter.

Mayberry Pancakes - 2008-10-01

I don't hate this woman. If I were in her position I think I would probably be using my newly-acquired passport to flee the country. She's clearly over her head and being reamed on all sides. I can only pity her.

But for God's sake, I hate every single motherfucker who thought I would be enchanted or won over by this woman. I hate them. It's insulting and condescending and fucking retarded and I hate them with the hatred of a thousand suns. Fuck you guys. Fuck you all.

Hooker - 2008-10-01

I, meanwhile, hate this woman.

Cena_mark - 2008-10-01

Somebody show me a video of Obama being asked a tough question. He never gets any he never gets any scrutiny. The media has been out to get Palin ever since she was chosen.

IrishWhiskey - 2008-10-01

CBS has videos of Biden and Palin, Obama and McCain, being asked the EXACT SAME questions back-to-back for you to compare.

And by the way, Obama was President of the Harvard Law Review, probably the most prestigious legal review on the planet.

For God's sake, don't tell me you actually believe this "gotcha question" talking-point. She couldn't answer the question. You are simply delusional if you think Obama, who worked as a Professor of Law, couldn't.

gorch - 2008-10-02

"Are there any other Supreme Court decisions that you object to, besides Roe v. Wade?"

Uh, that's not a "tough" question. That's just A QUESTION. The scrutiny is because she can't seem to give any question, any old question, a straight answer. Even when it's coming from a slow-pitch softball reporter like Couric.

Cena_mark - 2008-10-02

What is it with Republican turbos and thumpers always bitching and complaining about Roe v Wade? The case will never be overturned, LIVE WITH IT! Get over your obsession with controlling a woman's reproductive organs.
Sure much of the Republican base is a bunch of turbos, but can't they just at least let the issue slide, it would make it much easier on their party.

Evilhead - 2008-10-02

Needs a bullshit tag. Talk about a non-answer.
