Somebody did make this movie for real, back in 1991. It was called Body Parts.
Even better: Idle Hands (1999). I like that movie and will not apologize for it.
Even better: It was called The Hand, and was made in 1981 with Michael Caine.
Even better: It was called Uncle Fister (1987). My... uncle... he... he... oh my god...
and of course Evil Dead 2. but yeah, Idle Hands was an amazing teenage horror movie that I too will not apologize for loving. it was right up there with Friday the 13th in completely encapsulating a generation while murdering a whole bunch of em.
Then there was Clive Barker's "Body Politic."
Idle Hands was well done and overlooked!
