a few scenes in this movie are comedy gold. the rest, not so much.

I see the movie as a rather generic script about a struggling cartoonist, made funny by Green's insane antics vs Rip Torn's emotional suffering. This movie also has some reeeaaly bad moments too, but any scene with Torn is gold.

The punchline to every scene is that Green got someone to pay to make this movie, and it doesn't stop being funny.

Yes, it's a movie about a complete failure who is just trying to get someone to give him money to make his TV show / movie. Freddy Got Fingered is actually that movie. Tom Green got someone to pay him to make that movie and he basically shits on it in every scene and drags it on and on. It's art, people.
