Long story short: He's been trying to get these meditation schools started and naively picked this guy to be the main leader/icon/whatever of his projects in Germany not knowing that the guy is considered a kook and a hack there (sort of like if no one knew who Sylvia Browne was here, and picked her to head part of their religious organization). Poor guy got himself into some crap with the Germans now and last I heard he might not even be able to finish what he was doing basically being politely kicked out of the country.
Lynch should really have done better research or brought a translator or something.
If Lynch chose this guy for the job, what were the rejected candidates like?
Or maybe he did one of those "blindfolded-dart-throw-at-a-wall-of-potential-guys'-pictures" decisions.
