At this point Cross was still experimenting a little with his stand-up. He tried being a little more gimmicky in the way that a stand-up audience might expect. I think that's where that came from.

I like the Aravadoche nonsense but it's one of those things that are funny *once*. It would be really annoying if he did it again at another show.

According to Cross, Lipton was totally professional, but basically refused to interact with him in any significant way when there wasn't any filming being done.
