Never watched this as a kid, but i'll give it credit - it almost looks like it was drawn by Martin Handford's original waldo books.

er.... Drawn by Martin Handford in the STYLE of his original books. Not a cartoon drawn by books.

Aw, you got my hopes up.

Evil Waldo! If I'm not mistaken, they introduced a female Waldo at some point in this show, which isn't as amazing as the fact that this show lasted long enough to introduce a female Waldo.

Her name was "Wilma", the villain was "Odlaw".
That was a solid five minutes in the writers room.

Harveyjames - 2008-05-06

Wilma and Odlaw were in the original books, though!

I didn't realise until just now that Odlaw was Waldo backwards, since the series is called 'Where's Wally?' over here.

The backgrounds are good because they obviously made an effort to recapture the style of the books, but the characters themselves are all Cal-Artsified and rubbish.

This is almost more quintessentially early 90s than that MC Hammer Cartoon.

Thahyeeiz.

I vaguely recall watching this show. Not enough to remember what actually went on in it or who the hell the guy with the mustache is, thankfully.

Did this show actually involve much finding Waldo?

BiggerJ - 2017-03-02

They had a couple of stationary scenes with the wacky narrator yammering for flavor. Plus each episode started with a short list of things to find throughout the actual episode, akin to the lists at the end of the books. One was the narrator's stolen car.
