Your average creationist isn't smart enough to understand this, sadly.

Caminante Nocturno - 2008-02-19
I enjoy imagining the fat woman from Jesus Camp watching this and her head sizzling from a combination of anger and confusion.
Syd Midnight - 2008-02-19
It would not make them cry. They'd just ignore it and go off on carbon dating or something. And sadly, DNA replication is way over the average person's head.
Dummy Rum - 2008-02-19 They already have a defense: we're like apes because God made both us and apes. Sure, it looks exactly like we evolved, but that's just proof of ID.
Scynne - 2008-02-19
human (homo)
And I'm not crying.
Whitewater5 - 2008-02-19 haha you're a creationist
kill yourself
Billy Buttsex - 2008-02-19 It's hard not being a god-hating, gay commie on this site, isn't it Scynne?
Don't listen to these clowns.
zatojones - 2008-02-19 I don't hate God, I'm not a communist, and I'm not gay, yet none of these things change the fact that creationists are completely wrong.
Whitewater5 - 2008-02-19 i didn't say that i was an atheist or that grammas should eat their babies or whatever the fuck, simply that he's a creationist, that is hilarious and he should take his own life in shame. that's all.
Scynne - 2008-02-19 I'm not a scientist, and have no response to this. It is compelling evidence, I will readily admit. I do believe there to be a greater quantity of compelling evidence on the Intelligent Design side. Maybe that will change in a few years. Who knows.
Whitewater5 - 2008-02-19 you believe that becuase you're a complete imbecile and need to pull a Thich Quang Duc to cleanse the world of your wretched presence
Adramelech - 2008-02-19 A lot of Creationists do come from the viewpoint of science as a troll. A number of Creationist sites and articles aren't criticizing or countering scientific evidence, they're attacking the concept and processes of science itself like it's a dark art.
It's a unique combination of stupidity and blind faith, but basically there are millions of Creationists who could watch this video and think everything is "just made up". I know a person who "doesn't believe in" outer space for fuck's sake.

IrishWhiskey - 2008-02-19 Some things are hard to understand, or we can't yet explain, therefore God did it, and stop asking your heretical questions before we get a bonfire going.
Torture the Artist: Don't almost all old people have dead loved ones? And what the hell does that have to do with anything.
zatojones: Sorry, but Billy has spoken. You don't believe in evolution, you must be a commie queer.
FABIO2 - 2008-02-20 I would call campaigning to replace evolution with ID in schools to be a tad threatening.
Whitewater5 - 2008-02-20 man i sure enjoy having stupid wrong people around they really help the debate let me tell you
Torture the Artist - 2008-02-20 Irish Whiskey - it had to do with half the people here being edgy dumb fucks whose sole driving force in life is a need to SHOCK the RUBES. Jesus, look at the title of the fucking video.
Like I said, the idiots I was responding to, namely Whitewater, are goddamn embarrassments who are more concerned with making people feel bad about their faith than they are with actually having some kind of intelligent, informed opinion.
It's the difference between Paul Dirac the atheist and Trent Reznor the atheist, basically.

RomancingTrain - 2008-02-19
It fits almost too perfectly. . .
Udderdude - 2008-02-19
And here I thought this would be a creationist breaking down in tears, in the face of irrefutable evidence. Oh well.
Millard - 2008-02-19
God made it this way to test your faith, heathens.
Rape Ex Machina - 2008-02-19
Great video, but 5 stars for the "bevets" tag.
RockBolt - 2008-02-19
See, now that is just damn cool
StanleyPain - 2008-02-19
This is interesting because I've always wondered what the explanation of the missing chromosomes was. Now I know.
Nifty.
zatojones - 2008-02-19 DEVIL'S GOT AHOLD OF YOU NOW!
Ahriman the Creepy Lurker - 2008-02-19
I would have Kenneth Miller's manbabies.
voodoo_pork - 2008-02-19
What's the scientific word for "OH SNAP"?
tamago - 2008-02-24 What are you? Some sort of big literary fag?
rulestein - 2008-02-19
In case you did not watch it through to the end, this guy believes in ID.
Even he realises that either you believe in ID or you believe this sentence wrote itself.
Whitewater5 - 2008-02-19 if you're going to stretch the definition of "ID" to "belief in a hands-off cosmic agency that works through evolution and other natural processes towards some purpose over the course of billions of years" then i suppose that's true but i doubt it's a definition your average ID bumblefuck would accept
Whitewater5 - 2008-02-19 oh and by "that" i mean "that he believes in ID"
as for your second point i personally don't see much intelligence behind its design soooooo
kelpfoot - 2008-05-20 The guy in the clip is Ken Miller.
Ken Miller believes in God.
Ken Miller is adamantly opposed to intelligent design, which explains why he was the lead expert witness for the plaintiffs in Kitzmiller v. Dover.
Saying that Ken Miller believes in ID is either a hilarious lie or a symptom of severe mental retardation.
crote - 2008-02-19
Interesting on it's own merits, not just because of the eff you ID angle.
This was apparently part of a longer presentation at Case Western. YouTube has the whole two hour talk up at http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=JVRsWAjvQSg
j lzrd / swift idiot - 2008-06-29
Oh. I got here late to the party, again.
Belief in God is just fine and dandy with me, as long as it doesn't get in the way of the pursuit of truth; after all, eventually, some benevolent intelligent form of life is going to have to fill The Empty Throne, and I nominate our little fledgling species, out of pure spite at the Quiet Universe.

petep - 2008-10-02
and he didn't personally insult a single priest!

kingofthenothing - 2009-01-16
Informative video, but it's not going to stop the next Dark Ages from happening.
Prickly Pete - 2009-02-05
It's funny that people who liked this also liked "Watch it shred: sofa". Go figure.
fluffy - 2009-09-02
Unfortunately, this doesn't address intelligent design. ID is the theory that evolution has been directed by a supreme being, and none of this evidence refutes that possibility - ID would say that the "designer" decided that the apes had too many chromosomes and directed them to mere together.
The thing is that ID is not a theory at all, because there is no way to test it. Evolution is a theory, because it is testable, and this video shows exactly how they went about testing it and thus providing more evidence for it.
fluffy - 2010-03-21 also what's with slides in COMIC SANS
Camonk - 2010-06-27
I like science and hate creationism. But the POETV title was written by a smug asshole.
