I'm planning a preemptive strike against the vegetarians at this very moment.

Didn't you watch the video? Only squirrels and rabbits survived. They had to wipe out the meateaters FOR PEACE.

I saw this as a kid and it left a permanent mark on me. However, my memory blocked out the animals and thought that it was made by disney.

Ahriman the Creepy Lurker - 2008-02-17

I forgot the animal parts too, but seeing the last two men on Earth shoot each other dead definitely stuck with me.

voodoo_pork - 2008-02-17

I saw this after a GI Joe cartoon and the next day I saw "Hellraiser." That tells you a lot about how I turned out, I think.

I had been trying to remember the title of this cartoon for years. I described it to friends with he two parts that I remembered clearly, the animals in the ruined church and the two gas mask clad soldiers killing each other. Thank you so much for posting this.

The reason it looks so 30's Disney is that Harman and Ising were Ex-Disney animators themselves.

MurgatroidMendelbaum - 2008-02-17

I wish they made more character-building cartoons like this.
Must not have made a strong imprint on me as a kid though, as I'm currently in the US Army... bastard vegetarians!

Apocalicious.

Aubrey McFate - 2008-02-18

Holy fuck. That's brilliant.

Schraff - 2008-02-24

I'm pretty sure, given the character design of the soldiers and release date, this was a comment on WWI.
That's pretty depressing.

The war to end all wars, eh.
