It's not even that well done, but the eight year old in me thinks this is the coolest thing ever. Plus, jesus christ, Hasbro is giving hot sweaty reacharounds to the beardoes.
It's pretty well done! Modelling + rendering is top-notch. The actual animation is a bit iffy, but I guess they get away with it because they are giant robots, and who knows what they move like anyway.
Also, the live action movie should have looked like this
My biggest gay beefs are that the faces lacked expression (esp. Megatron's) and that the physics are really funky when Prime socks Megatron at the end.
While I am picking Cheetos out of my beard, I'd also point out that the 2D animation could get away with looking much more organic in movement. I'd imagine the animation here is as accurate as they could get without warping the...wait...where are you going? I'm not done.
Kinda what I came in here to say, minus the gun thing. The movie graphics were definitely better, but I'd buy any game that looks this good no matter who it starred - even if it were GoBots. Wait, no, probably not GoBots.
You could still do Megatron as a gun, he turns into a giant gun, floats in the air, and shoots a couple of times in the opening credits of the first series.
I apologetically love the original Transformers cartoon because they did take the characters and story seriously, at least to the extent that was possible for Western kids' entertainment back then. Which was a lot more seriously than Michael Bay, those Orci and Kurtzman hacks and all of Dreamworks' little wizards did.
